Teapot Hat

So often my inspiration comes as a challenge from a potential customer. So it was with this teapot hat. A customer had seen someone wearing one and, since she couldn't convince that person to sell it off her head, she asked if I could knit a teapot hat. I was sure I could, and when I had a few spare minutes, I gave it a go. Here is the result. I think it turned out great, particularly as it was my first attempt. I basically just winged it.

The hat prompted my son to sing the "I'm a Little Teapot" song, of course. Can't you just see a room full of pre-schoolers wearing hats like this and singing? They'd be cute in pastel colors....

I love it! Any chance that a pattern or hats for purchase will be forthcoming? My daughter would be supercute in it!

Yes, it is possible. I didn't take notes when I made it, but I think I could put it down on paper. How much do you think I should charge for the pattern?

Karen please please develop a pattern for the teapot hat. I belong to an organization that holds a tea for peace each February, and I would love to knit a teapot hat for us girls. I think $9.00 would be a fair price for the pattern.
Thanks,
Lany

Hi Karen,

I'm new to leaving comments on blogs. I think I tried leaving a comment before, but I do not see it. Anyway, I am just in love with your knitted teapot hat. I belong to an organization that holds a tea for peace for women. I would love to try and knit hats for all of our ladies for our next meeeting in February 2010. I think $9.00 would be a fair price for the pattern. Oh heck charge what you want. The hat is sooooo darn cute!
Thanks,
Lany
